Beverly (Callahan) Penry

Beverly Penry, 79, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at home surrounded by family.

Services will be held in Daphne, Alabama at a later date.

Beverly was born November 20, 1939 to Joseph Benjamin and Elizabeth Pearl Draime Callahan in Mobile, Alabama.  In December of 1959, she married Leonard Penry in Daphne, Alabama.  She had been employed in the accounting department of the Emperor Clock Company.  She was a member of Christ Our King Church. She was also a member of the Order of Athena Mardi Gras Association.  Beverly was funny with a great sense of humor, easily making friends with people she would meet.  She made special friends with the ladies that would sit with her from Right At Home. She was a huge fan of Alabama football – “ROLL TIDE”.  Beverly loved her family, especially her granddaughter, Ellie, and spending time with them all.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth Worsham (Stephen) of Columbia; sister, Sharon Beaty (Bud) of Daphne, Alabama; her granddaughter, Ellie Worsham and and many nieces and nephews, three of whom were very close to her, Michelle Beaty, Susan Beaty and Samantha Southwick.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Joseph, Edith and Donald.
