James "Jim" Daughenbaugh Obituary

James T. Daughenbaugh, Sr., 69, of Centralia, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Boone Hospital Center surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p. m., Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Friendship Place in Centralia.          

Jim was born on March 19, 1949, in Macon County to Earl S. and Erma R. Butler Daughenbaugh and they preceded him in death.  On September 19, 1999 he married Shirley Windsor in Centralia and she survives.  He retired as a supervisor with Hubbell Power Systems in Centralia after 11 years on the job.  Jim enjoyed traveling with Shirley, spending time with the family and especially the grandchildren.  He enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor.  He had attended First Baptist Church in Centralia.

Jim is also survived by his children, Lisa M. Reese of Chillicothe, Tina L. Dixson (Edward) of Moberly, James T. Daughenbaugh, Jr. of Ft. Mohave, Arizona, John “Tony” Nichols of Columbia, and Jason P. Windsor (Leah) of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Holly, Isaac, Cobie, Emma, Gabriel, Jace, Reese, Rhain and one great granddaughter coming in September, Elliott.

Jim was preceded in death by a grandson, James T. Daughenbaugh, III and six siblings, David Daughenbaugh, Wilma Grasle, Earl Sanford Daughenbaugh, Jr., Ruby Hendren, Bill Daughenbaugh, and Mike Daughenbaugh.     

Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
