Julia Theresa Chiles
1929 – 2018
Julia Theresa Chiles, 88, of Salisbury, MO and formerly of Glasgow, MO, passed away April 6, 2018 at her home where she had been cared for by her sons.
Mrs. Chiles was born in Denver, CO on July 1, 1929 a daughter of Anton and Gertie Coslett Borgheinck. She married Robert Allen “Sonny” Chiles on March 4, 1950 in Aurora, CO. Sonny preceded her in death on September 10, 1995.
Julia had been employed with McGraw-Eidson/Toastmaster in Boonville prior to retirement. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, photography, fishing with her husband at Table Rock Lake and sang in the choir during her childhood days at Catholic school.
Survivors include two sons, Guy Chiles and Robert Chiles; a daughter, Michele Bonecutter; four grandchildren, Timothy Chiles, Michael Bonecutter, Leslie West and Brandon Bonecutter and six great-grandchildren, Dakota West, Chloe West, Brooklyn Bonecutter, Baylie Bonecutter, Jasper Bonecutter and Lucas Bonecutter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Chiles; a brother, Tony and two sisters, Bernice and Mary.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lisbon, MO (located on Rt. K South of Glasgow) at 2:00 PM on Wednesday afternoon.
