Michael "Shane" Martin

Michael “Shane” Martin, 21, of Columbia passed away on May 18, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2018.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time for the service

Shane was born July 31, 1996, in Columbia to Michael Boyd Martin and Francie O’Bannon Martin.  Shane attended college to become an American Sign Language interpreter.   He enjoyed playing the piano and traveling.   

He is survived by his mother, Francie O’Bannon Martin of Columbia; his father, Michael Boyd Martin of Sedalia; a sister, Kayla Martin of Columbia; grandfather, John O’Bannon of Hallsville; grandmothers, Olga Owen of Columbia and Kathy Alley of Sedalia; niece, Rinoah Thomasson of Columbia and special friends, Karena White, Sabrena Cochran and Justin Cannon.                                        

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Leroy and Carlene Owen.
