Roy Austin Ferguson

Roy Ferguson, 70, of Raymore, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2018.

A Celebration of Roy’s life will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Faith Baptist Church, 414 S. Franklin St., Raymore, Missouri with Pastor Michael Wessberg officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time for the service. In Columbia, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, there will be a visitation from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel prior to the graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia.

Roy was born July 14, 1947, in Columbia to Darrell and Lucille Long Ferguson and they preceded him in death.  On December 21, 1968, he married Vicki Withrow in Hammond, Indiana and she survives.  For over 46 years he served full time as a pastor in a number of churches, some of which include First Baptist Church of Pittsfield, Illinois, Fellowship Baptist Church of Mt. Zion, Illinois, Faith Baptist Church of Camp Point, Illinois, Berean Baptist Church of Bunker Hill, Illinois and most recently at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Emporia, Kansas where he retired from the ministry.  He was honored as Pastor Emeritus of Lighthouse Baptist Church upon retirement.  Roy was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Raymore.

He is also survived by his sons, Mike Ferguson (Rachel) of Richmond Heights, Missouri, Chris Ferguson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Ron Ferguson of Rossville, Georgia, Rick (Megan) Ferguson of Boise, Idaho; and two grandchildren, Austin and Amber.
