1962 - 2018

Kenneth Carl “Sam” Gehringer, Jr., 56, of Rocheport, MO, passed away June 16, 2018 at his home.

Sam, as he was nicknamed by his grandfather, was born April 2, 1962 in Muskegon, MI to Kenneth Gehringer, Sr. and Jackie Drummond Gehringer.  He married LeAndra Gwen Bishop in August of 2004 and she survives at their home.  Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, computer gaming and riding his Harley motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, Gwen, he is survived by two step-children, Andrew Porter of Boonville and Rachel Christensen of New Franklin; four brothers, Mal (Marilyn) Kendall of Mt. Morris, MI, Wayne (Colleen) Kendall of Roseville, MI, Keith (Lucinda) Kendall of Mt. Morris, MI and Cliff (Star) Kendall of Roseville, MI; two sisters, Debra Gehringer of Cumming, GA and Vicki (Walt) Bussey of Mason, OH and two grandchildren, Haven Porter and Laura Christensen. Also surviving are two aunts, Sue Drummond of Allegan, MI and Louise Drummond of Madison Heights, MI; cousins, Jessie Drummond of Allegan, MI, Cindy Crawford of Hazel Park, MI and Jaimie Polloccia of Troy, MI and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jackie Kendall and his birth-father, Kenneth Gehringer, Sr.
