Betty Jean Carmichael

Betty Jean Carmichael, 74, of Armstrong, MO, passed away at her home on April 7, 2021. 

Betty was born July 9, 1946 in Boonville, MO a daughter of William and Evelyn Dillon Tezon.  She married Darrell Carmichael on December 6, 1965.  He preceded her in death on December 6, 2019.  Betty was a homemaker and mother.  She enjoyed gardening and loved her dogs, cats and birds.

Survivors include two daughters, Christina McClain (Clinton) and Sheila Gerlt (Donald); a sister, Mary Ann Jackson; a nephew, Jesse McDonald; grandchildren, Darrell Estill, Derek Estes, Briar McClain, Victoria Durham and Dakota Carmichael and great-grandchildren, Bryson McClain, Kayson McClain, Mia Carmichael, Wrenlee Jean Hagar, Vance Estes, Laylah Estes and Kinzy Morrow.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy McDonald and a nephew, C.B. McDonald.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 23 at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette.  Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville, MO.
