Gary Franklin Moss born December 29, 1959, in Columbia, MO to Earl and Emma Belle Moss who preceded him in death. Gary passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2024.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 5th at 1 pm at Parkade Baptist Church in Columbia. A visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the church.
Gary attended Rock Bridge High School in Columbia and graduated in 1978. Following graduation Gary served with the United States Air Force. He moved to Florida and lived there until 2008. While in Florida he met Norma (and her son, Ryan) and they were married in 1995. In 1999, their family grew with the birth of son, Jarred. In 2008, the family moved back to Columbia.
While growing up Gary enjoyed the family’s horses and ponies, riding motorcycles, and working with his hands. He was extremely handy whether doing woodworking, working with metal, or painting. He was an electrician by trade and also enjoyed working with computers. He was a man of many talents.
Gary is survived by his wife of 29 years, Norma, sons Jarred Moss and Ryan Overcash. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Moss (Glenda) of Austin, TX and his sister, Peggy Toler (Ken) of Columbia plus many nephews, nieces, and grand nephews and nieces.
Gary was a selfless, caring, and gentle man. He loved his family and serving others.
