Janet Susan (Pholner) Lingelbach Hemme

Janet Susan Lingelbach Hemme, 68, of St. James, Missouri, formerly of Ames passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at University Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.

Jan was born on December 3, 1951, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Louise Frank Pholner.  On February 14, 2006 she married John Hemme in St. James, Missouri.  She had previously been married to Bennett Lingelbach.  She enjoyed listening to George Strait songs and dancing.  Jan loved her many pets, especially her dogs.  Most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Jan is survived by her husband, John Hemme of St. James, Missouri; four children, Tony Bennett (Teri) of Bloomingdale, Georgia, Jeremy Bennett of Ames, Iowa, Jamie Lingelbach of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Brittany Lingelbach of Ames, Iowa; three siblings, Pam Vancannon of Boone, Iowa, Robert Pholner (Mary) of Ogden, Iowa, Penny Bloem of Waverly, Iowa; and eleven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Joel Lingelbach.

A Celebration of Life is being planned in Ames, Iowa in August.
