Lynn Terrell Obituary

Lynn Terrell, 90, of New Franklin passed away at his home on March 29, 2026.

Lynn was born in Boonville on April 13, 1935, a son of Joel Jackson Terrell, Sr. and Dollie Burns Terrell.  He was employed in commercial construction for many years with Hathman Construction and McGraw-Edison.  Lynn was a member of Laborers Union Local 955 in Columbia.  He enjoyed watching television, especially NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs.  Lynn’s other favorite activities included working word find puzzles, collecting coins, enjoying New Franklin from his front porch and watching the deer in his backyard.  Lynn was especially proud of his 1964 green Ford pickup.  He was a member of Boonesboro Christian Church.

Lynn married Leatha Hendrix on August 29, 1953, and she preceded him in death.  He later married Vennise Lynn on October 6, 1979, and she survives at their home. In addition to Vennise, Lynn is survived by his daughters, Vicki Thornton (Jerry), Becky Gentry and Sheila Bradley; stepdaughter, Connie McKee (Chris Davis); brother, Charlie Terrell; daughter-in-law, Candy Terrell; son-in-law, Charles Barr and several much-loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Leatha Hendrix;  son, Mark Terrell;  daughter, Paula Barr; son-in-law, Steve Bradley; stepsons, Roger, Danny and Donnie Lynn; and brothers, Jack, James and Roy Terrell.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 3, 2026, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Boonesboro Christian Church.  Burial will follow at Boonesboro Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Boonesboro Cemetery Association.
