Robert Dean Gash

Robert Dean Gash, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 14, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Chariton County, Missouri on August 27, 1934, the son of William Ernie and Lovie Stevenson Gash and they preceded him in death.  Robert served his country in the U. S. Army from January 1955 until August 1957.  He married Donna Jenkins on September 29, 1957 in Brunswick, Missouri.  Robert was a member of Northwood Baptist Church in Columbia. 

Robert was a humble, hard worker all his life, starting with hauling hay at the age of eleven.  Through the years he worked James Pecan Farm and MFA Elevator in Brunswick, Chapman Heating & Cooling, manager of a mobile home park in Columbia and maintenance work in Columbia.  He was an outstanding handy man that could fix almost anything. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; his children, Bobby Don Gash(Patty) of Columbia, Roy Gene Gash (Debe) of Raymore, Larry Gash (Leslie) of Columbia, Ginger Michelle Taylor (Montie) of Ashland,  Judy Elaine Clark (Joe)  of Lucedale, Mississippi, Catena Rena Beard (Alan) of Centralia, Kathy Ann Kite (Kevin) of Columbia; his sisters, Betty West of Columbia, Lucy Garrison of Independence, Lucinda Larmer of Rocheport, Rose Ann West of Kansas City and Shirley Old (John) of Columbia; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Aaron Gash; and three brothers, Jimmy, Roger and Raymond.  

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time for the services.  Burial will follow the services at Brunswick City Cemetery, Brunswick, Missouri.
